    Medium sized buffalo leather bag

I wanted to use up whatever I had left of my buffalo leather hide. I also wanted to maintain the contours of the hide. I laid the hide out on the floor, and started folding it in different ways to see how I would form the shape. Used some double sided tape to hold it in place as I hand stitched. (I really should invest in a sewing machine)

Came up with this shape. Used some black satin to line the inside.

Closeup of my rough hand stitching.

I pulled the hardware from an old belt. The strap is a strip of goat skin folded over so the suede side is on the outside.

    Finished product.

Very nice! I enjoy reading your creation posts. I love the design and your choice of materials. The grain of the leather looks great and so does the finished product

          very nice

I enjoy how you kept the original countours of the hide, which gives the product an overall archaic but still classy look. Fortunately you had that old belt hardware handy which complements exactly the raw look of the leather. You give it a counterpoint touch with the fine silk which brings the classiness to the rawness.
