    Heavy Cotton Aviator Hoodie

Most recent creation, inspired by MA+ aviator hoodies. Being 6'3", I've never been happy with the fit/length of the ones I've encountered, so I decided to make my own. Drafted the pattern myself, did some extensive work with muslin to get the fit exactly right. Fabric is a heavy cotton, and has a riri two way zipper in a wonderful gunmetal finish.

Very well executed copy but the least you could have done was added side pockets no?
its the one thing the MA+ Aviators are missing

Fantastic work. Being 6'4 myself, i go through many of the same issues. I've also resorted to making my own clothing.

Hey everyone, thanks for the wonderful feedback/praise!

I PM'd those who expressed interest in having one made for them, but for others who are curious:

I can acquire a bit more of the fabric (enough for several more jackets, I believe) as well as the hardware. At the moment, I could make more from the same pattern (which fits a 44-46, perhaps a very skinny 48) relatively easily, and length/sleeve length would be easy to customize for each order. It would be difficult to scale up the pattern for larger sizes, but not out of the question if there's enough interest to make it worth doing.

So, if anyone is interested in having a custom made aviator hoodie, please PM me with your jacket size.

                  Thanks!

Is the chest yoke a separate, bias cut piece or is it darted from the rest of the torso?

The only thing I'd tweak is the fit of the arm scythe and sleeve cap.

That's an impressive pattern - have you made much else?

ha, nice work. I'm guessing it didn't cost $1,800. for the materials

WTF: Is everybody here 6 4 and 130 pounds? All these tall people and no sz50 or sz52. I guess I'm fat.
