    Giovanni Cavagna

    One of my favourite designer, since I've seen his aw 12-13.

    Impossibile to find in any fashion forum, altought this label is already in some good shops (pnp, dantone, vertice,...):

    Different fabric are mixed in pants, sweats, jacket: I don't like every single item, but -when he finds the right combination- the results are stunning.

    These are my favourite pieces from aw12-13:
    a double-layer pants (wool+silk) that I wear with much pride and a paper, linen, mohair, nylon "sweater" that I've tried but I didn't bought (shame on me: I still regret this...)

    pants details

    Unfortunatly, Dantone, PNP and Tabo shop doesn't carry it for online shopping: to see more past collections, use Google images

    Other not-so-random stuff I like

    pants

    sweater

    Have fun!

    ps
    I think I'll do a good service, telling you that yoox carries some very nice stuff (men&women) at VERY INTERESTING prices

    imho t-shirts/sweats are worth because they have a good quality/price, altought are no masterpieces...
    pants: I love them (especially the black double layered: please, dony' buy ;)
    shirts: please don't buy the sleevless one :)

    size tips:
    pants: bbs xl/l&f m -> cavagna 48
    sweaters/tshirts: bbs xl -> cavagna 50/52 (52 if you like'em long ;)
    shirts: completely random... I'm a bbs xl and once I've tried a cavagna 46 (!)

    Have fun!

    Sigh... I don't know what value this adds to fashion. BTDT.

      When I visited DAAD Dantone in Milan, I noticed a few Italian designers similar to each other, and like Faust says I didn't saw either what value they add to fashion.. Of course they have nice garments, but it just looked a bit the same on many aspects, And some items were just forced to be ''distinctive'' on a way that it's not progressive nor valuable but just weird? I didn't excite me, (in my opinion) however I noticed Giovanni Cavagna carries some cool stuff for women.

        Agree about this italian designers that looks "a bit" the same and borrows some ideas from others; and agree that some pieces of Cavagna's collections are really nothing new (think of tees, some sweats), but...
        ...you can't belive how intriguing are some textures (silk and wool, paper) and how good's the fitting on some items.

        I hope that he'll find the right consistency; if not, I'll just enjoy this "gems" and consider him a some-hit-wonder ;)
