Re: Interesting polos
Ha, you beat me to it darkanimal
I rarely wear polos during the winter (this one's in a box right now) but during the summer it's a good option when it's hot and I get tired of wearing t-shirts. I was going to post the Ann. D polo but I noticed that is what started this thread so you already know about it.

Re: Interesting polos
I risk getting stoned for this...
How about Tom Dixon for Lacoste. They're on luisaviaroma, one is supposed to be made out of organic cotton and have some special die process and the other has metal woven into the material. The first is supposed to represent the natural while the second is the industrial. I would be interested in the metal one if it wasn't 250 euor and didn't have the croc on it.

Re: Interesting polos
i actually like the blue one. don't like the croc logo though...
Two obvious choices are junya watanabe for lacoste and cdg for fred perry. they have quirks here and there, i'll try to find pix.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

Re: Interesting polos
I've always been a fan of the CDG x Fred Perry polo's, and I've heard that the fit of them is really nice. Slimmer than usual Fred Perry polos, I believe, but not too tight, was my understanding. Also, the pricing is fairly reasonable, it seems, unlike the Junya Watanabe for Lacoste, at least, the ones I've seen.

Re: Interesting polos
that is kind of sad. that vertical pocket really does make a simple polo look almost -cool-.
too easy!
i wore polos alot back before everyone and their mother decided that polos were THE shirt to wear... now i am kind of sick of them and want to get rid of most of mine.

I say burn them in a ritualistic fire in front of the NYU undergrad dorm on Union Square.
I think the Dior polo is kinda lame. I don't mind the bee sometimes, but it's just gross there. I think the collar is more gimmicky than the pocket.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde
