I always look at their collections, because I think Bailey does an Ok job there. I gues it's meant to compete with Miu Miu, young, fresh, no frills, no claims to artistic design. This one is on track, although some volumes are off (those cardigans, I'm sorry). What strikes me is how much power Raf has these days over menswear - look at those coats.

Re: Burberry Prorsum Mens - FW07-08
I really like that military button short jacket above!
I think the real question for this coming season is:
are extra long shirts and knits the new thing?
Lots of guys on here wear them long (below the crotch) and quite a few models above, along with in the newest Dior Homme runway show wear them long as well.

I like long tops - been wearing them for years. there is a certain non-chalance to it, as well as a sense of being relaxed.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

Re: Burberry Prorsum Mens - FW07-08
I like this collection more than any Prorsum collection in the past few years. I think it's the greys paired with interesting blues and greens that speak to me. If anything, Burberry can make colors that are just different enough to really stand out. I appreciate the idea of the large cardigans, but I think with the cut of the arms being so baggy it just looks like the models sized up 2 sizes. Some of the jackets look sharp, and I love how they put together some looks with blue and black. Nothing stunning or ground-shaking, but a solid performance for sure.

I think the military theme has been done to death and Baily in some respects took the easy way out on this BUT the long, chunky knits are the new trend and I love the cardigans. I'm really excited to try this type of style out with my dark, julius inspired look!

Pretty much nailed it for me, and why this collection disappoints me a bit... Bailey's strength is color; histweaks of otherwise trouble/boring colors (forest green, blue, burgundy, especially last fall's) are simply untouchable, yet they seem mostly absent here. What gives?

Think this is an excellent collection, and I don't usually like his stuff. The first 8 or so pics that Faust put up are just really nice outfits, esp the ones with the blues. The military stuff I'm less keen on - epaullets in particular really annoy me for some reason.

Agreed about epaullets.
Djrajio, military is such a quentissential part of menswear, I don't think transient terms such as theme or trend applies.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde
