Geoffrey B. Small Menswear FW 07-08 - Paris

I like some of his work a lot, actually. Don't know what to make of the show, but some pieces are pretty cool. I like the german army cardigan married to a bomber jacket.

You can see the slidshow on iqons.com

That's a funky image. Yea, I'm a sucker for fairy tales and such.

I read this as shorthand for Geoffrey Beene at first, and I'm thinking, wow, have they moved up the ladder... [;)]I did not quite expect this. It looks pretty cool, but I think the presentation is a bit overwrought.

Hahahaha. Agreed about the presentation, but I like the clothes. From whatever I've seen, there are no two objects alike, not even the buttons. I'll try to post more pix.

geoff is a great guy - met him through a friend who produces imp of the perverse.

he's a big admirer of maurizio and the carpe lab methodology - it looks like geoffrey's collections have gotten much better since moving to italy a few years ago - nice to see him showing again

At a quick glance, I also thought this was going to be about Geoffrey Beene haha. But wow, this really impressed me. Unlike Faust and macuser3of5 though, I'm loving the presentation and the whole mythological medieval theme.

Link to the slide show of the whole collection.

If you go to the left of the page and scroll down, you can also see the women's collection, "Heroes of Another Gender."

                    (with thanks to Scott)

                    Edit: Here's a link to the women's.

Don't do it, Faust. The K-word comes to mind bigtime.

So I was reading Geoffrey's bio on his website, and came across this line:

"In October 1992, Geoffrey B. Small brought his
                              first
collection to Paris in a suitcase, and in 1993, showed his 2nd
collection at the original Paris sur Mode salon on the banks of the
Seine alongside Maurizio Altieri of Carpe Diem and Roberto
                              Cavalli."

                              [:|] What a trio....
