"He's clothed, scented and moisturized us. Now Hedi Slimane is bringing his refined aesthetic to our working lives with the launch of the silver Dior Homme 2 gigabyte USB memory key (seen here), compatible with both Macs and PCs. Now if he can only make porn download faster?" from hintmag.com

Nice. I think CDiem should make one, too. Roll it around in dirt or something...

Forget the rolling in dirt--they should bury it in Afghanistan.

... and give it to Poell afterwards so he can hammer it.

Huh, I didn't think you could make standard USB keys uglier. I guess I was wrong?

If I ever see someone whip this out. I'll kill them.

              With this USB memory stick.

I want to know the price. I'm betting.... $250.

The sad thing is, a plisse toilet paper bar is probably not out of the question.

It's only a matter of time before housewares are next. The plisse design is so easily adapted (even in it's now-mediocrity) to just about everything. Concentric, parallel lines etched into the edges of plates, bowls, dishes, glasses, even on the handles of silverware. I can see it becoming a (horrific, grossly price inflated) reality.

I need a Gucci G-shaped ashtray in my life, those things are so kitsch its wonderful. Maybe we should start a thread called "more tastelessness from the tastemakers" or something and post those kind of ugly things there, that way it won't clutter the forums and it'll be a one stop area for all our beyond the pale need for luxury excess. I think Channel made a lot of those btw, I should really look for some pics....

I would absolutely get that, so I can wipe my ass with LV logo - I would not be able to make a more literate gesture than that. Where do I sign up?

+1 (wouldn't mind to wipe on prada or gucci either...)

About the DH USB key, I think it confirms that Slimane is not that much interested in doing men clothes anymore.

He's been doing so many things around lately (directing movieclip, picture books, conference, exhibitions, skin care, renagociating his contract, trying to make his own ladyswear line, etc... and now this !).

I'm really disapointed by the way he went mainstream, and on parallel his inspiration and quality are going downstream.

I was a huge fan of DH, now I don't care much anymore. The only thing that are still worth are the suits and the winter leather jackets IMHO.

Amazing. I guess there has to be something they can sell at the DH stores for tourists with no interest in DH....
