What eyewear do folks on this board like?

I'm fond of LA Eyeworks and Face a Face frames. In New York, I've found the salepeople at Artsee to be very helpful.

I like Yohji Yamamoto's offerings. They are always very well made (metal), classic shapes, and he makes about 5-6 pair for the entire North American market. I have a pair, my wife has a pair - both awesome. You can only find them at the Yohji store as far as I know. Expensive though (well, you knew that).

I tend to stay away from 'designer' made sunglasses, I find they usually have issues with quality and durability.

I love Moscot eyewear, very ionic and affordable.

I remember looking at the Stussy Michaels, I really liked them, which may or may not have to have done with the fact that they're based on a pair of Michael Caine's glasses who remains an idol of mine. Are these discontinued? Thinking about a pair of the Moscot's instead. I'd like to try them on somewhere, but I don't see that happening. I'm tempted to wear them purely as fashion glasses (no tinting on the glasses) but that seems a little absurd, but I really like the way glasses look and I don't wear sunglasses. It would require some consideration.

I don't wear glasses but if I had to, mine would definitely be Cutler and Gross.

I like Alain Mikli. Some of the Stark designs for the brand are good, plus the glasses bend in all different ways making them hard to break over the years.

Mine are all by Cutler & Gross, and also one pair by a vintage French company Selecta, from the '60s.

I'm also expecting a pair of tortoise-shell glasses. Real tortoise-shell that is, not that cheap plastic stuff.

Here is a pair of sunglasses:

Wore Starck for Mikli for the past 7 years, my last pair finally gave in and the ones I'm wearing now are Oliver Goldsmith. British brand, products are hand made in Japan...very sturdy and well made, has a 60's feel to it. Price range about same as Mikli.

                            bump this thread.

wanna see what new styles/brands ppl are wearing.

been mainly looking only at japanese Celluloid eyeglasses in the past half year or so.
                            I don't exist.

I wear this pair of titanium Orgreen frames, the design is fairly conservative but the material and construction are on point. I shy away from designer frames but that is mainly due to the selection available in Australia (prada darling ) as glasses are something you really need to try on before purchasing to judge whether or not the frames will suit your face.
