Barneys New York opens it's seventh location at Palazzo,Las Vegas

This January,Barneys New York ,the legendary emporium of the style ,opens its seventh location at the Palazzo.Creative director Simon Doonan talks about why Las Vegas is the perfect spot for the latest Barneys.

Simon Doonan is hoping all the Las Vegas showgirls trek to Barneys' legendary shoe salon when the retailer opens at The Shoppes at The Palazzo Las Vegas in January,because he wants to be there when the luscious leggy performers are trying on the shoes."Can you imagine ?" he asks ,the air of anticipation in his voice "Watching all those showgirls trying on Louboutins and Blahniks- I am going to turn it into a true parisan salon and just sit back and enjoy".

Anddon't assume Barneys might adjust it's philosophy to echo a decidedly vegas centric attitude."Second guessing the Vegas consumer is too much like pin the tail on the donkey.The population changes every three days,and it's enormously diverse," Doonan points out.":It's much better to come in putting your best foot forward.We are bringing the Madison avenue glamour to Vegas,rather than trying to imagine a Vegas version.Besides we would never circumscribe our offerings,Las Vegas will get the full menu.

Would be interesting to watch how the cutting edge aesthetic would fit in Las Vegas demography with it's inherent built in "bling" style of Custo , Armani,Versace ,Juicy Couture,....Store is scheduled to open on January 17th.

Lol....I bet most of SZ favourites would be available in this location at sale time...(Ann, Margiela,Raf..). Best sellers in this location couldbe Custo barcelona,Juicy, Versace with sequins... I can visualize a new line "Armani for casino" .....

I've been hearing about this for awhile, it's going to be the shit. Seven stories, almost as big as madisons and me taking trips there just to check it out ha. Vegas is perfect for Barney's, no doubt it will contend for top sales with all the chips in Vegas.

I think they are going to open one up in Scottsdale, Arizona soon too. It going to be in a shopping mall. Would be interesting to see what they will bring to the people here.
