"These will surely find an eager audience at the Paris transplant's
first New York outpost, a Tribeca store at Hudson and Dominick that's
scheduled to open this summer."
Yea, Laika pointed that out in the womens F/W0809 thread.
I'm excited for it to open, especially right in time for Fall/Winter to hit stores. No more need to call Paris or other Euro shops to get some of the more exclusive/hard to find pieces. At least, I hope they buy a wide range of the line...
"because the young are whores. dealers come to carol to get the rock"
I am sure that this has already come up, but do you think that the
addition of the RO store will lead to other stores limiting their RO
buy or will nyc just be saturated with RO and provide more at sales
time?
Yea, I've talked about it with some people. I don't think this will be the case. They have a wonderful relationship with Atelier, and Atelier has a very strong following - I would say more than any other store it's store based (i.e. "I'm going to buy something at A") rather than brand based. The only other store downtown that carries RO is Kirna Zabete (womens only), and it's far enough, in the heart of SoHo.
