well, Maybe if you tell us the reason(s) why you like it, then we can know if its Kool aid or getting laid.............

I don't know anything about women's wear, but I know your drinking something stronger than just Kool aid.

Well it's like the female version of a Fuuma outfit: tux jacket, white tee, black or grey pants, black shoes. Very simple. He Balmainized it but I love how the angle of the collar, shoulders and top create sharp lines paralleling each others. There's a heavy peppering of luxe but for a girl I think that's sometimes a plus. The only thing that sucks is the shoes, would be perfect with Rodarte Louboutins.

I think the shoulders are a too obvious attempt at contrast between shoulders and mid-section. The exaggeration of the shoulders strikes me as contrived. In short, despite your excellent personal taste and vast knowledge, I think you're drinking the Kool-Aid.

It is contrived but it's sexy, so from a certain angle I like that outfit. Better than some of the more garish stuff coming out of Balmain.

I get the sense the average (celebrity) woman wearing that look wouldn't appear nearly as good as that particular pic though, so it's mostly a context thing.

two real life examples of what I meant:

as you see, they do a good job of bringing out the 'contrived' part. Sexy, not so much...it looks pretty fucking terrible in both cases here. Some clothes just aren't meant to be worn.

Celebrities and models aside, top half is good, Fuuma. I also like the mirrored lines in the shoulders/lapels, but with such large shoulders you really need a tiny waist and enough height for that sharp angled hourglass shape to work. Don't like the (studded?) pants but you probably already know that.

Ok but we have pictures of virtually every designer worn badly, all it proves is that these people have no style. Tony looks stupid too in this pic...

Yes. And Gareth Pugh, although his take on the exaggerated shoulder is quite creative. It's just a detail I dislike because it's such an obvious deviation from the norm. I don't think high fashion should necessarily look crazy all the time.
