I'm not sure if any of you would have heard of Lela Jacobs before. She is a fashion designer in New Zealand and has a collection called Experimental Extinctions for the Southern Hemisphere, Winter 2010.

Is it just me, or are the photographs on this website ridiculously small ? Besides, this model's poses on most of the pics don't help to clearly figure what she's wearing.

But frankly, even from afar, it does not seem that stunning at all.

All I can think of is - it's ok. Judging by the stockists list she's doing fine, so good on her.

You're probably right, maybe it isn't up to the high and illustrious standards of the StyleZeitgeist. But you know, I'm just sticking up for the little guy, the one who hasn't got millions of dollars in backing, the one who just started a few years ago. But just for you, mail-moth, I have changed my original comment to be impartial.

Michael,

Most of the designers here are self-funded.
I cant think of many who have major backers.
But I somewhat get what you mean.

Shes obviously a young and ambitious designer and I wish her well.
Nothing here that makes me want to take a mental note tho.
I think it helps if you educate us with the designers story/concept.
Posting pictures and a website link alone wont do.

She could ask her model not to pout.
