some stellar pieces to have, lots and lots of intricate details.

but this reminds me so much of tao, and i haven't decided if it is a good thing.

            thanks for posting.

The ties joining two completely disparate elements is quite beautiful.

The drastic stylistic change mid-show (exacerbated by JoniF's page brake ) threw me off for a minute, but I guess that is perfectly Comme. As cliche as it is to say this, it really does look like a "best of" collection, which is not a bad thing.

                  Haha, this is so trippy.

Pretty cool!-Meaning: Pretty and Cool. (Not just 'so-so'.)
Lots to love here: The shoes grabbed me immediately. (But that maybe just b/c i'm on a shoe hunt.) The bulgy/bunchy blue/black pieces. The confining/revealing/strapped elements manage to be artfully sexy in that angular/indirect CDG way. The multi-pattern, twisted/ruched dresses really do a good job of hacking away at our expectations show-wise. Quite like this collection.

Really like this a lot. Probably my favorite collection of the season so far. The vertical step-stone quality of some of the combinations is really nice. The navy / black color combinations are done well and feel very contemporary and the shot of yellow / color along with it is great.

                      Another outfit I liked.

Yeah, have to say it again in completely layman's terms: Loving how in-your-face and subtle it is at the same time. Which is par for the course for CDG I realize, but it's nice to see her pull it off so well so many years down the line. It kinda smashes you in the face with its audacity visually and then hits you deep somewhere else on a sensual level. This happens both despite and on account of the exposed breast/nude layers.

PS: The more refined galoshes this season are just sick.

This is "best-of" in a negative sense for me. I was really bored with this collection. I'm used to be surprised with Comme des Garcons. Now I'm surprised I was not surprised. I can't see anything taking fashion forward here, I can only see various old elements from previous collections. A little bit disappointing. For once, I thought this season's menswear collection was more interesting than the women's.

Agreed - she's definitely not breaking any new ground here. Then again, the CdG main line has been in really superb form for several seasons now, so maybe she was about due for an "off" collection.
