Suzuki Takayuki SS11 (mens + womens)

    Another lovely collection from Takayuki

the womens wear is stunning as always, and while its a bit less exciting, I think the mens is also an improvement from previous seasons.

Thanks for the pictures. Womens collection is indeed nice, I like the romantic and baroque vibe... And the model

I've never heard of the designer before, though (which doesn't need to mean anything). Ended up googling him, first result was a japanese football player which I guess wasn't him. Next result provided more insight. Seems that he uses eco-friendly fabrics, only!?

His first presentation was at Tokyo fashion week for FW08. a couple of his previous collections are posted here, I think. He is indeed very focused on using ecological materials, a large part of his fabrics are cotton. my wife has a couple of pieces from him, lovely cuts and materials feel amazing.

in addition to his mainline he produces an offshoot called Ikkuna by suzuki Takayuki, the garments are a bit more basic, but fairly similar to his mainline, all made from organic cotton.

Thanks for posting lowrey, the womenswear is really something special.

yeh i love the proportions in the womenswear: 4th and 5th look are really great.

I absolutely adore that fourth womenswear look. And that second dress Would rather like the crewneck sweater for myself, especially with a collarless shirt. How wonderfully light and romantic.

I really like the look of this from the photos. There is something about it which resonates with me. Would love to see how it looks in real life. Has anyone had the opportunity to handle any pieces? If so, what was your opinion?
