    Zam Barrett Dialogue FW11

Disclaimer : these pics have been taken in a very dark room, and the sample size was a bit too tight and short on me and too large on BSR.
Anyway, we did our best to provide some pics of Zam's wonderfull, original and varied work, since a lot of members here were impatient to have a preview. But please wait for the official lookbook pictures, if you really want to exercize your sharp minded criticism.
I'll remove all the pics as soon as the official ones will be available.

beautiful. you've outdone yourself zamb. The clothes have a certain level of austerity for being as sharply cut as they are - I can see the trials and tribulation that you yourself as a designer have been through in every piece. It looks like a labor of love, and I can see the designer in the clothing, which is a refreshing contrast to the cold, calculating designer who keeps himself at odds with his clothing and consumers (XXX, Julius, etc.). You've been growing every season, keep it up!

the coat is nice - have always seen tailoring as your strong suit.

shoulders look funny on the coat. too big plus unpadded (?) plus roped shoulder results in undulating silhouette

thanks alot guys, your words are greatly appreciated.
I see it as a step forward that i didntr have to start my own thread this season

                    Paris was great!
I am still contemplating what to do for New York fashion week.
would love to do another presentation and haven't ruled it out, but expecting the baby about that time, so I'm trying to coordinate everything.

                    Johnny,
Coat shoulders are not funny, don't know if its the angle or what, would be good to wait for the look book,
indeed there is no padding in the shoulders of the Jacket, but there is ease in the Armhole of the sleeve. this exist to give a high armhole but lots of range of motion. I am one designer that while not give you a straight jacket in the form of a top to wear..........People should be able to move their arms............
“You know,” he says, with a resilient smile, “it is a hard world for poets.”

Coat was actually too small, and not too big, maybe this explains that.

EDIT : Added a disclaimer in the first message.

                        Christian,

thanks, but its no big deal,
you or anyone who have seen or bought my stuff know its some of the best constructed stuff on the market. that's where we thrive...........
and even from the shots posted, people can see the quality that is in these pieces...............
I absolutely don't mind criticism of my work at all, and even when the look book pics are up, I wont be removing these...............

I'm not sure if we need a new thread as some of these pictures are already in the dialogue thread, but I guess we can merge this once Zam has the official shots...
