    Aoi Kotsuhiroi

I'm not sure if anyone caught wind of this designer before but it appears her focus is on one offs:

interesting how there just happens to be a vagina in one of the pictures of the bracelets

on a more serious note though, while this collection as a whole doesn't really speak to me, the rings:

remind me of Peggy Guggenheim's gates, which have been a style inspiration of mine for a long time:

i could see myself wearing one of those horsehair bracelets. It's on the verge of too tribal for my taste, but the sinuous lines makes me think of H.R. Gieger.

I think that the use of such obscure materials may be employed to make these have a special appeal... What if those rings were made of cheap stones and nylon thread?

This is no doubt in my mind. But with any jewellery with appeal, the materials are most often at least semi-precious or exotic. With her particular designs the aesthetic and design are so extreme, the materials need to match that extremity otherwise her pieces might border on the trashy end of the scale.

One of my friend has a ring from him, it looks far more better than the picture actually. Amazing designs and creations.

Aoi, more to me than a person who creates "objects"! I am imbued with her things! I have a bracelet and a jacket from her! Quality products at a high level! The jacket is completely sewn by hand! In style - a cross between a samurai and not that of an unidentified! After reading an article in the SZ - even more in love with her!
