i could see myself wearing one of those horsehair bracelets. It's on the verge of too tribal for my taste, but the sinuous lines makes me think of H.R. Gieger.

This is no doubt in my mind. But with any jewellery with appeal, the materials are most often at least semi-precious or exotic. With her particular designs the aesthetic and design are so extreme, the materials need to match that extremity otherwise her pieces might border on the trashy end of the scale.
Aoi, more to me than a person who creates "objects"! I am imbued with her things! I have a bracelet and a jacket from her! Quality products at a high level! The jacket is completely sewn by hand! In style - a cross between a samurai and not that of an unidentified! After reading an article in the SZ - even more in love with her!
