I think it's quite good until you get to the orangish splatter print stuff. It gives off a leopard print vibe that isn't very flattering or tasteful. There is something about this collection that perhaps feels a little dated although I can't put my finger on exactly what it is - maybe the boxiness of a lot of it?

Not feeling this. I must say. I am starting to believe whoever said that Damir seems uncomfortable with womenswear.

                  This one is nice though

                      Agree...with all those kimono silhouettes

It seems like he's still somewhat struggling to get a grasp of the female figure and the styling has changed along with the mens wear, which has lost the earthy vibe I really loved = (

Damir does not deny Yohji/Rei influence on his recent work.

well there's certainly nothing wrong with that, a lot of designers cite that influence and it is almost always a good thing. it just seems too obvious here for some reason, like it needs more reinterpretation.

Erm... Okay? I don't knot, looks like he doesn't really know where to go next. Or that the stuff which he became known for in the first place doesn't inspire him anymore. Which is fine, it happens. I like the black stuff, the orange is a no.

i like it and i'm interested in seeing where he is going to take this once he settles in. obviously there is a lot of 70s and early 80s referencing going on (miyake, kenzo, montana...) but i don't mind this little clique that's evolving now, with matthew ames, damir, kva, dusan and fabrics interseason etc. to me it's (in the context of today) fresh and a possibly increasingly influential alternative.

there is something very dignified in this type of structural cuts - not really very far from where rick goes sometimes when he's on his 'discipline' trips - and styled with different footwear i think some of these looks will be fantastic. but yeah, i see how it's heading away from central sz-land.
