Even knowing someone that works for Taka, this stuff has been incredibly hard to find. Anyone know of an place to guy Soloist stuff in the US? Thx

Definetely agree with Skinfade on that point. As Miyashita said in his early stage of SoloIst, "it's really about me...My lifestyle and my spirit are the key elements." It seems as though he has found his real steez for designing. Almost has an experimentalist aesthetic towards some of his garments, for instance the line started with one jacket in which it took 5 sewing machines to construct, and got more complex from then on. Reflected off 09AW by a lot IMO, very fantasy alike which almost has an abandoned theme park feel (japan have the best abandoned theme parks, it may have been one of his visits) but that's just me. I think this is an extraordinary direction.
