Hey Eton thanks for the link.. your initiative to wash it in 60 degrees was really experimental..

Next time why dont you try with belts? You may easily find all shorts of stains there... cheers A.

That's something only you can do.
Too stressful for me, too much responsibility, and too much hard work
But you know where I am and if you want to do a comparison and try on, just shout.
But with washing, arms will narrow significantly and all around body will drop approx 1sz. Plus colour and feel of leather changes. The pics pretty much say it all.

Post washing it has become my most worn jacket

Just google Renapur for the oil.

i washed two of my leathers and haven't needed/used renapur or any oils. not that i want to discourage people, just throwing my 2 cents into the ring.

well, Life is too short to not wash your own CCP jacket.

                            washed my fencing as well.
first of all, sorry for the bad photos,
after all I'm just trying to share my experience here. and maybe can help out some guys here to grow their balls and wash their leather

it was size 44. but its just a lil bit loose. then I went and have a chat with my professional leather consultant (basically just a professional cobbler)
and he convince me and teach me about the stairway to shrinkage.

here it is when I first receive it.

so it's really stiff and shiny.
leather is truly amazing. I will love it to my grave.

and read the care tag, poell said " cold machine wash, no tumble dry "
but who cares what he said, this is my jacket afterall

so I put it in the machine wash, 60' temperature, and 400 spin.
I'm just scared that my washing machine will be damaged by the zipper of this jacket if the spin is too fast.

then after finish the wash, the jacket is completely wet.
so I tumble dry it for 30 mins.
and the result is basically the same as eton97 gets.
                            it shrink 1 size.

                            so here is the measurement:
                            p2p: 46cm become 43cm
length: 62 cm become 59 cm
                            shoulder 42cm become 40 cm

well after that, I do the same, put grisson leather cream. (the one dji used to wash his _7 moto as well, for the same reason)

and fill the jacket with towel inside.

beside the measurement, the jacket texture is also change,
before it used to be shiny, smooth, stiff,
well after it become, matte, smooth, and soft. it drape much better.

however, my leather consultant said he can polish it and make it exactly as before I washed it. so yeah. no harm et all.

ps: don't pm me if anything gets wrong, I hold no responsibility.
I guess just make sure your water isnt too hot, and condition it after.
and for the tumble dry process i use low heat. like 30-40'c airing. just to help with the drying process. machine wash front loader (it matters, believe me)

                            best,
                            d

thought I'd chime in as I recently washed my fencing as well. didn't want any major shrinkage, so I didn't tumble dry and hand washed it in 50C (with just a little mild detergant) and 1200 spin cycle. it was still dripping wet even after the spin, so I rolled it into a towel and sat on it, then filled it with paper and laid over a dry towel on a mildly heated bathroom floor.

came out perfect, it remained reasonably soft, leather looks exactly like it did before (matte), and it shrunk about 1/4 size for a perfect snug fit.
