By being a rich bitch, obviously. I swear the NYT sometimes drives me nuts with its schizophrenia. It's like when the weekend comes they think all we want to do is snoop into some fantasy life of the rich.

I recently had my first accidental brush with those kind of people. Was invited to an event and I did not know that it would be all fur and collagen. I literally almost vomited and left after 15 minutes. My girlfriend said "I felt like I was watching TV." It was especially painful after driving through OWS on the way there. I wanted to firebomb the place.

That just happens dude. It isn't really feasible for most stores to update their online stock immediately as things sell at the brick and mortar. Especially if they're using eBay for a webstore.

I am now convinced that fund raising is some kind of training for those who are going to hell when they die.

I tend to forget to cut open the sewn shut chest pocket on
                  a coat or a waistcoat ...

I never cut them open... Especially on wool jackets, when I start using the pockets i feel like they stretch a little bit. Especially if they don't have flaps.

I actually prefer when usage (and time) takes hold
of a garment, so that little bit of stretching you are
mentioning would be a good thing in my book, but
then again it is safe to say, that the reason why I
forget is because I hardly use the chest pocket.

I only cut them open if I intend on using that particular pocket...and I usually don't use outside chest pockets.
i traded my LUC jeans + Julius belt + Neil Barrett jeans for a blamain biker jeans

I have never cut an outer pocket on a rick blazer open. I never end up using them because the inner pockets are so huge so I figure I might as well leave them closed for the extra support.

i wonder if SZ could pool their grails and garments of historical interest and make a small gallery out of them. in a physical space.

                              maybe as a one-off event.

i wonder if people would be interested to see it.

I was thinking about something very similar: a thread where members would take nice photos of their favorite pieces, with an explanation of their history, where and how they acquired them, along with the reasons why they wear them everyday/love them so much.
