What an exciting ending to the cardinals/phillies series. Even if you don't like baseball, you gotta appreciate the drama and suspense of that one.

      ahhhh baseball! indeed

Phillies were a much bigger surprise than the Yanks. it will be interesting to see what yanks do in the off season tho they are really handcuffed with some expensive contracts

Walk off grand slam. That's absurd.

I'm rooting for the Tigers myself. Would have been pretty awesome for the city had they won yesterday with the Lions beating up the Bears just a few hours later.

Pujols 3 home runs in game 3. The guy is a machine. You think he'll get his $300 million contract now?

from whom? not many teams can afford that contract and the one that really can is set @ 1st base...besides, it's not about the $$$; it's about the years...all long term EXPENSIVE contracts turn out to be an albatross in the later years...pujols is gonna want at least 8 years...the last 3 (at least) will be charity

                however, he's a great playa

I'm not sure where he's going to wind up, but I'd love to see him stay with the cardinals. Small markets with great players is a great thing for the league.

Maybe the cubbies will try to pick him up. We need a serious team overhaul.

last nite's game should prove to all the haters that baseball is an amazing game.

no clock. you play all 27 outs and sometimes you get a gem like game 6

totally agree. what an incredible game. the cardinals were down to their last strike on 2 occasions and came back to win.

my dislike of larussa & mcguire forces me to root for texas, tho pulling for ryan ain't no picnic either

the thing that's constantly reenforced while watching all these games is how incredibly spoiled i,as a yankees fan,am having watched the greatness of mariano rivera for 16 years. he is,by far, my favorite athlete, consistently great under pressure and HUMBLE

congrats to the cardinals. it was a great world series, even if it was one of the lowest ranked in terms of ratings.

well, now he's declaring he'll be back in '13. hard to keep that arm loose when you are in crutches.

but yeah, he's one of my faves. joy to see him break bats..

i love this nyt vid that explains his cutter..
