    . . .^ Nice, Laika. Who says leather pants can't be office-appropriate!

I can see why, given your recent comment about being drawn to the more dramatic pieces, and how sculptural this particular collection was. Having worked with a number of them, I'd say it's his most, especially where the leathers are concerned. That one was actually hard for a lot of people; you either look amazing in it – or like something that came from outer space.

And because you posted the kids in Rick (such a fun shot, so glad you did),
here's a peek at his tiniest leather ensemble yet:

No, there's no Mattel collaboration on the horizon (or this'd be in WTF ages ago).

Here's the scoop: Back in 2009, for their 10-year anniversary in the Meatpacking, Jeffrey threw a huge benefit bash, getting nearly all the designers they carry on board with dressing a Barbie-type doll which would be auctioned off to benefit AIDS and breast cancer research charities.
Apparently, 69 dolls were floating around the store that night, dressed in everyone from Raf to Dries (and probably looking better than most of the attendees). Gotta love how Rick did not one, but two – one for the boys, one for the girls. Aaaaw.

yeah, yeah.. more pictures, fewer words, mister!

That lone Ann buckle belt you posted back there can't possibly be the only leather garb you'd like to see your beautiful 'Gretchen' in.

Now now, I don't think that's a bad thing at all. It's precisely the reason why I go to RO. He makes me feel like a space-age robot Cleopatra. A form of escapism, perhaps?

Also thank you for the lovely Junya editorials. Those are some of my grails

Haa, and there's nothing wrong with that, dear. You wear it well.
"Otherworldly" beauty is a very good thing. Nether-worldly, however, well.. that's where the demographic might do a little loopty-loop shift toward World of Warcraft land.

Memories of squeezing people into angular Rick leathers 2 sizes too small people who more often than not just didn't fit the look (because let's face it: looking like a leather-bound crustacean will never get you laid) were dancing in my head, thus my commentary.

    But back to leather.
Here's to blurring the line between both.

    Girl is smart ;)
It's a FLEET ILYA body harness, pushed down around the hips to look like a thong for the editorial.
And with that, I don't know which it's immortalized more: the harness – or Kate's crotch.

here is how the piece was styled
here is how the piece was designed

    If that's not a win-win, I don't know what is.

    * Let me know how it goes!
