novelty for the sake of novelty has no value, especially at fashion's pace, i guess this is where the difference with art (or anything truly interesting...) lies.
Damned if you do and damned if you don't.... he's usually accused of not moving at all. I don't mind it...
Hi. I like your necklace. - It's actually a rape whistle, but the whistle part fell off.

Well I've never seen a runway show where a designer managed to make people look this ugly, I guess he deserves praise for that.
Selling CCP, Harnden, Raf, Rick etc.

Hey, last fall wasn't bad, combined a lot of elements I liked about him pretty well. With this collection the only thing that keeps coming to mind is "what the hell."

                high waisted pants? really? lol

i like it. in a weird way i feel stronger about this than any other winter collection i've seen from rick. at least on first glance.

re: the art/fashion thing discussed above. fashion strikes me as much more vital and artlike than art these days and vice versa.

it's not like cropped jackets haven't been an recurring feature in earlier collections - both men's and women's, it's just that here the high waist is the big thing and naturally the styling of the first looks serves to accentuate that. but for sure these pants are cut to also be worn lower.

there's something very neat and snug about the presentation - everything is pulled up and tucked or pulled to the side and fastened on pegs (pant fronts, coats, boot strap detailing, jacket-'scarves', waists...), which reminds me of the 'control-collapse' dichotomy rick digs so much.

Honestly, fuck all this. I am too old for man skirts, clint eastwood pants. I shall live in leathers and jeans.

high waist's never caught on in women's wear either, problem is you need to be very tall to pull it off.
extremely appealing boxy coats (after look 29) and interesting take on wellies.

I liked the high-waist pants, but almost everything else was just strange for me - especially towards the end. Those puffer jackets were serious wtf to me.

I'm more on BSR with this. I agree that Rick is fucked either way unless he's always churning out something new AND awesome; but sadly nobody is able to do that (but maybe this is more of a fashion system problem). Anyway I'm hoping this is Rick's lowest point.

Some outfit are good such as 10/11. But other... not for me.
