there's a few pieces he's done before in new fabrications and that's kind of a let down that he'd send them down the runway
figure he could just leave em for the showroom

i think thats what im noticing also , prob why im getting a lazy feeling from a design standpoint .
ricks the high bar imo for the kinda menswear i want and this collection falls well below that , specially when i know hes capable of sending out collections back to back that are massively exciting

The first thing that came to my mind that this looks very accessible for people who haven't bought anything Rick Owens before.
Apart from that the high-waist belted coats are not a good look at all.

Except for the wider arms, yeah it's pretty much the same.

Another thing I've noticed in recent mens collections from Rick is that he has been experimenting with creating woven tops that aren't shirts. I mean besides shirts, dress or casual, what other top-garments are available to men in woven fabrics? I mean sure blazers, vests etc but I mean more like an alternative to shirts and Jersey/knitwear? As far as I know none while women have tons of different options. I think it's an interesting idea that while it may be subtile, pushes menswear forward.

unsurprisingly, I quite like it. It's a blend f his move toward the exagerated shape with elements of early collections like dustulator. I love the oversized gloves. The shoes are like som Raf Simonsonian nightmare but I have enough footwear as it is. Loving the sci-fi vibe and element generally mising from rick.
