That's too worthy of it's own thread to not do one.

    Et, voila.

The line between luxury & necessity tends to get a bit blurred when you're on a forum whose average member drops about $1500 for a pair of shoes (give or take $500, LoL), but I think this one qualifies:

Eudermine. Shiseido's oldest product, dating back to 1897. It's essentially a glorified toner, ridiculously over-priced, and totally irresistible. Even the bottle is amazing. People usually think it's a perfume – not something you saturate a cotton ball with and rub over your face.

what a great topic; my day is stuffed with small luxuries that make life easier and more enjoyable.
I’d like to throw my pen in here:

        the Muji gel pen.
it’s small, sells for 1£ cheap and does it’s job everyday. friends told me stories about their pens leaking, scratching, whatever — though mine never did.
I have several other pens, also a few quite expensive ones, but this is my favourite.

ed: what I completely forgot to say: after all, it’s also quite beautiful.

radio-aktivität – I might call that a small practicality. Especially for that small of a price. I love a good gel pen, though; the worst are those fine-point ballpoints that rip through the paper you're writing on.

Raw – Every food I like that's considered "specialty" somehow gets rationalized by my brain as a necessity. There is very little guilt this way, especially with ice cream.

Haha, good call after all, I guess. Thanks, interest1. But, seriously, that tooth paste, yum!

                Orange Blossom-, Rose- and Lavendar-Water.

I spray it everywhere: Onto my bedsheets, my towels, my curtains, bathwater, as a body tub, face, hair, tea...you name it.

Also the Sultane de Saba body scrubs: Way overpriced but they smell soooo good.

bobble water bottle. sure it's $12 for essentially a disposable water bottle...but I like the filter.

@Dane – I almost bought the pitcher the other day. The one with the black 'bobble' (naturally) caught my eye. I hate liquids in plastic, though, so I put it back. Not that anyone would want to carry a glass bottle around in their bag

                      Matcha. Simply love the stuff.

We're different from all other tea purveyors in that we are ultraspecialized. We go narrow and we go deep with a single focus: young-growth, extraordinary matcha. Once you try it, it's hard to drink anything else.

                          Urbanears Medis earbuds

$55 bucks, best sound of any earbud I've encountered after burning through various pairs of Bose, Schur, etc, mostly to the tune of $200 a pair and up

best thing is the cloth binding seems to prolong the life of the wiring

Free wifi at airports. God, all but ONE I've been through charge for it.

And on the topic of airports, free first class upgrades on domestic flights. Who couldn't love that?
