You ruined me. Bought it on my trip to Paris last week. And thank you for ruining me, I don't mind.

i've got the luxury of not using small luxuries.

a washer/dryer in my apartment closet i never use.

a working fireplace i never use.

        a dishwasher i never use.

a full-size fridge i'm tossing to get a smaller under-counter one, and for some reason tiny appliances costs 3x more than full-sized ones..

Kyukyodo Incense and other incense that comes in pauwlonia boxes that expand when it is humid to keep the interior goods dry -- the only incense used in the Imperial palace in Japan.

My beloved Laguiole "ladies" pen knife with horn handle. One summer when I was still in my teens, I worked in SW France, lived in a tent for two months, bought nothing and then blew all my money on this knife. Sound familiar anyone?

                Also,

French fil de lin (pure linen) dowry sheets made from 1890-1930.
I wash mine by hand using a gentle detergent for vintage linens and then rinse with water with a touch of vinegar and a few drops of essence of clary sage.

Costs less than an Ann D t-shirt or a cheap Ikea duvet and will last a lifetime if taken care of.

One of our local coffee roasters, great stuff.

Coffee is probably my #1 small luxury.

Well now that's the first positive reaction I've had after ruining a man.

They usually freak out, and then date down.
