Haha, well, the best stuff's always found deep in the trenches, right?

You're on to something, but I don't know if heartbreak music via Mr Dylan deserves a spot on the list as much as just a good side-blinding heartbreak in itself. Experiencing your first one (beyond the teenage realm) should crash that list somewhere.

I guess heartbreak technically isn't something we can "own", which is ironic considering how long we humans can carry it around for.

I got to must-have #11 and thought the same thing!

for those who read german, this might be of interest. it’s a book about overly manly men. a pack of authors illustrate/write about »what every man should know«, but in a very ironic way.
      • how to prepare drinks
      • how to get into jail
      • how to get a girl
      • how to break up
      • how to lighten a fireplace
      • how to behave in a whorehouse

      et cetera

BUT, again, in a well-written, humorous way that I found very enjoyable to read. buzzfeed lists are crap, this is fun. maybe there’s an english version already; the book launched in 2007.

By the way, 30% of Americans have a passport. We truly are a nation of ignoramuses.
LOL yes quite true! I think this list is a good one for men over 40, but 30 is pushing it... a French press? Really? That's bad news for all the dudes who bought the George Clooney expresso machine thinking it was an adult purchase.

Does not drinking coffee make me less of a man?

Until I can find myself a German tutor, what does it suggest for whorehouse etiquette?

A half dozen scenarios in my head later and we have an SNL skit..

The chapter (sitting between »how to keep off your wife from snoring« and »how to break up«) says
                    1. Be kind, Be clean, Be respectful
                    2. No alcohol or drugs, it kills your erection (and you’d have to pay anyway)
                    3. You arrange a verbal agreement and can’t claim shit later
                    4. There’s no climax guarantee (well, you have to pay anyway)
                    5. No french kissing
                    6. Don’t mistake it for Love
                    7. Safer Sex only
                    8. No violence (if you sense some: don’t play hero)
                    9. Relax, when your little buddy doesn’t feel like it (since you have to pay anyway)

radio-aktivität - hey, thank you for taking the effort to do that.
Perfectly written and very, very funny!

And profondo nero – that was pretty much the perfect follow.
I'd never seen any of his clips before, and was laughing all the way through it. Good call!
