Thank you all for the kind words again! Recently I've been quite busy with the real world (work) and haven't had much time for any new pieces.

However, on a positive note I should have some spare time over the next few weeks/month and am currently working on a low-boot.

@Exarcis: I'll try and get a fit pic up of the jeans this weekend. The are a slim/skinny fit and are long so they bunch up nicely below the knee/around the ankle which was what I was aiming for.

@Chinorlz: Cheers dude! I realllllllllllllllllly want to make a leather jacket, and have started visualizing/thinking it through in my head. Hopefully one day I'll be up at your calibre!

Well its been a while, but finally I've finished the other desert boot-esque shoes.

These ones are a personal milestone, from the construction to the design I love every single aspect of the shoe.

Every element of these shoes is done by hand, from the stitching to the welting to the dyeing. The only tools used were the ones I posted in the previous replies. As a result my hands are sore as hell and have the cuts and bruises to prove it.

So without further ado, here they are...

I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Hide[m] and Holger in Munich.

These two pairs of shoes will be on their way to Germany!

If anyone out there lives nearby, or is visiting Munich I welcome you to have a look at the shoes and critique the shit out of them and send your thoughts about the construction/design once you've seen them in person.

I'm hoping from your words I'll be able to develop and refine what I make.

            Thanks Everyone!

                    Awesome shoes and awesome packaging.

Q: Do they come only with the laces pictured? Or are an additional set provided?

Also, what sizes are you making?

The shoes come with a washed black pair of laces as well and the shoes are marked as a 42, however due to the treatments I apply they fit more like a 41.

Now finally, after a nice holiday its time to make myself a pair.
Stay tuned, I'm going to think up a new design.

Leather has a weight of about 6oz/4.5irons/2.5-3mm, plenty thick enough considering its doubled over at the toe and heel. Lasting the upper with that added thickness at each end is quite an ordeal and really tricky to get a nice even rand.

I can't even picture crimping and folding anything additional under the sole of the last with that thickness, to be quite honest--I've only made maybe ten pairs of shoes, mostly with a glued sole and one with a hand-stitched Norwegian welt, but these look fantastic!

Fantastic work, you've mentioned that you've acquired all the knowledge from online resources. Do mind referring some of the better reference\tutorial and sites for shoe making?

                                Once again, amazing work.
