I think it's pretty funny what he's doing now, though. It's basically like this stuff is the Polo Sport for the hood kids today but instead of being the work of a rich, white, elitist guy, it's made by a gay black man, both categorizations traditionally opposed by true hood inhabitants.
Exactly don't get me wrong I got nothing against his sexual preference at all.

Only it's twice as expensive as Polo Sport.

True, but today it's normal to pay $800 for a pair of sneakers, whereas in the heyday of Polo Sport a pair of $120 Jordans were top-of-the-line.

        INFLATION.

(I have no grasp of economics. FYI.)

          You are correct though.

Now, a pair of Jordans that are really top-of-the line, can cost one hundred and twenty thousand dollars:
            inflation's rising...

wow, some kid recently was offered $98,000 for a pair of sneakers signed by Kanye West and he turned it down!

(The offer was mentioned in this NYTimes article for those wondering)

How relevant is this to the actual retail market really? I mean, the first issue of the DC comics can sell for millions of dollars but newly released comic books today are still $8 a piece. When Kayne/Jordan starts releasing signed limited editions for $10,000 MSRP then it might have an effect.
