I am an avid coin collector now but when I was younger I was nearly obsessed with comic books. I find collecting really fascinating and being able to have rare collectibles are exhilarating so maybe that's what makes it addicting in some way.

if anyone is interested in collecting photography, swann galleries is auctioning live on ebay. some of these have a starting bid of less than a grand which i have never seen before. lots of historically important images in this lot.

yeah generally the buyers premium is 25% of the hammer price. 30% is a lot, but if the bidders are asleep, then you may still walk away with a deal.
