Has anyone had the opportunity to see these Derbys in person? What were they like?

I personally am finding that this collection is panning out to be her most mature to date. Maybe mostly because I didn't like that the her previous works seemed to rely on a aesthetic gimmick or unifying adornment. This collection looks to be more serious in terms of material sourcing and a focus on the individual garment pattern itself. Though I am curious how the petrifaction title will inform the collection.

I also enjoyed her inclusion of the Russian Valenki felt boot in that first photo. Always felt these were an inspiration for the drip sneakers, especially considering Carol is a collector of vintage Russian military pieces.

                      very interesting

                      Has anyone handled them?
Wonder if they are wearable or whether its noisy/stiff/sweaty as it looks

Would love to know how heavy the stone membrane pieces are, I have a pair of D-050 JAX crash seam denim and they are so heavy they tend to always fall out of my clip hanger when hung, I wonder how much the lapel stone membrane blazer will weight.
We hope that people will begin to see beyond the superficial surface of things and understand that there is far more to a design than just the way it looks on the outside.

In a way I have to admire people who are still willing to be very uncomfortable in their clothes in our age of sweatpants.

Perhaps it was a worthwhile sacrifice for her ccp work
the silver oxidation collection had valid aesthetic appeal
