And there it is again - that subtle fetish vibe from their earlier collections. They are among the few designers I look forward to every single season and they almost never let me down. Not one bad look here. I'll take one of each, please - especially the leather lace up pants.

Phenomenal collection! I saw An and Filip in Antwerp last week and they told me that inspiration came from their recent trip to Peru.

"subtle"?! this is full on fetisch gear!

and it's great. beautiful beautiful collection, this, with lovely variations of volume and proportion. very playful.

                wonderfully styled also.

Idk, to me it's pretty subtle woven into the collection. At least it's not full on nurses and equestarian.
Or maybe my profession is simply taking its toll and I've lost all perpective when it comes to fetish and being subtle about it after countless talks with patients ;)

The shoes are also a standout here, even though I have a pair of Ackermann ankle stilettos at home that also feature the diagonal lacing.
Vandevorst some of the best footwear around.

i guess what i meant was that the overall STYLING gave it an unmistakeable in-your-face fetish vibe. a lot of it has to do with the footwear and pants/leggings, obviously - u are right that most pieces on their own wouldn't really carry that connotation. i love the shorts-based looks especially, and the dress/legging (?) combo in this one with the crow headpiece:

Yeah, killer textures and love all this full-on black in the collections this season. I think these guys never disappoint.

As for the fetish thing, it's maybe a 4 out of 10 on the fetish scale, but still stylish and not too restricted, so only slight hints of bondage, but often people comment on clothing with black leather, lots of zippers and/or lace ups as being "fetish".....

And anyway, nothing wrong with that. Fetish is one of their leitmotifs. But Shucks was only saying that the fetish part makes the clothes looks to him not as subtle as they look to Verdandi.

I think its the weight of the fabrics that make this so special. Gotta suffer a little bit to look this good.

This is surely essence of SZ for women.
