It's nice, I thought his fall outing was stronger though. I get a little warrior princess warning here and there.

I only wish there was some tailoring added. Yohji without tailoring is unfathomable.

I'll be happy if I never see another deconstructed hoop skirt.

You make it sound like deconstructed hoop skirts are leggings or uggs. Last time I checked I have seen an abundance of deconstructed hoop skirts anywhere.

It isn't that they can be seen anywhere, it's just that they have such a strong connotation with mall goths for me. The cherry red hair pieces don't help to distance the two either.

It's probably that in this instance, the cage/hoop skirts don't feel particularly elevated in any way. There's nothing strikingly inventive about the way he has used them here. I do like the denim cage boning paired with the denim bloomers peeking out from an otherwise black look, but overall, I found this collection very lacking.

The show was indeed very disappointing. Nothing new. We saw the same looks in the past. Yohji says to Vogue “My brand needs young customers.” Well, this collection will not bring them. Hope the Y's collection is better. Usually his major collections are conceptual and tailored and Y's is mainly styling but very wearable. He is 72, hope we don't witness the aging of the grand master into irrelevancy.

Vogue writes: "The clothes were also different in that he wasn’t suffocating the models with an impenetrable concept."

A concept could add some interest.

If one wished for concept they could have looked at a slew of heavily conceptualized shows this season. Personally, I like it when Yoji presents in a lighter manner, instead of something heavy. Also felt that his styling was on point bravo my good sir.

P.S. I get the view that a deconstructed hoop skirt may seem "O so gothic". But I dont think I have never seen a mall goth try that audaciously hard... What malls do you hang out at?

I agree! There is an enigmatic strength that's projected through the garments & styling in this collection- it's far from my favourite Yohji collection, but I definitely admire the vibes here!
