For those lucky enough to make it to the showroom, did you see if there is a Women's version of the Flight Suit shown in the Menswear runway?

I was really looking forward to seeing it reimagined for this collection.

Still not sold on the iridescent fabrics, but amazed by everything else.
That huge lighter was a nice bonus, haha.

Incredible collection. I love the massive gowns in particular, they look like they're inspired by the Victorian era but seeing as TECUATL has been in large part about Mexican heritage I wonder if it's something else. Anyone here know about Mexican fashion history?

This was incredible. Rick is in his best shape for the past couple of seasons.

Hi, everyone. I hate being annoying, but could someone help me with this question?

Just trying to plan Holiday gifts for my partner, haha :p

According to some reviews I read on the internet (haha) the Mexican influences were:
                  - María Felix, which was an iconic Diva from the mexican film industry in the past century; apparently Rick's father used to take the family to see Maria Felix's movies when he was young
                  - Luis Barragán, who was a very famous architect known for doing some sort of colorful brutalism (huge concrete blocs , but painted in mexican colors if I may).
Not sure about the other Mexican influences in this collection, which still carries a lot of the Larry Legaspi vibe.

I don't remember a flight suit in this collection, but I think there is one in the current one?

                      Thanks, Faust!

Kind of disappointing, since the Menswear flightsuits look so epic. Nonetheless, this collection has a lot of beautiful garments. I'll have to save up in preparation, as I'm sure everything will be super expensive :/

I second that. It seems like too drastic of a shift from his usual aesthetics. But maybe I'm not progressive enough ! ha

Well I guess the colours are in reference to Luis Barragán which is keeping in line with his aesthetics since referencing architecture, modernist art, furniture etc. has been a staple of his collections for a good while.

I do get it though being not a colourful dresser. Haha

Don’t get me wrong, I do like the colors, just not the iridescent fabrics.
I don’t like iridescent anything (was kind of a trend at some design agencies a while ago).
