Re: Your recent purchases

I bought a Raf cream fleece button-up sweatshirt with epaulettes on Yoox. It cost me £72 which I feel pretty good about seeing as I got outibd on the same top, used in black on ebay and it went for more than $200. As I type this I'm already feeling a bit guilty though because some more noble being deep inside of me knows I don't need yet another top. Taking food out of the mouth of my unborn child!
Indeed!
I think it's because it'd be so hard to wear. It is made out of
textured cotton in the front and sides, but in the back it's made of
curpo that you normally find lining the jackets. So it's like
wearing only the jacket lining on the back. I don't know many
people who could pull that off, except some rock star. I am going
back in about an hour to pick up the vest, so I can take a closer look
at it. It was size 50 I believe (which is really a 48)
are you saying its like the back of a vest material? with sleeves from a blazer? it might be part of the sleeveless blazer/sleeved vest set that i've been looking for for awhile now - it was from the first season he did overlock.. 2005? oh and no, i'm not that tall. was interested in this one.

languid was only 2 years ago? strange. maybe i'm getting confused

Mic, I like the cardigan - looks great on you.

DBC, don't feel bad, it's a cool top, I've contemplated it also.

Haha, I also contemplated buying that exact sweater, both on eBay and
on yoox. Congrats on the purchase, I'm sure it looks great.

                          My my, well done Johnny.

I bought these gold Helmut Lang shoes on ebay last week. I know that most of you guys here are probably thinking "ew" right now, but no matter - I've wanted these ever since I first laid eyes on them 3 years ago, and at last they are mine. (Provided they fit, that is...)

Hey mate, I'm surprised that he didn't write you back. The shirt ended up costing me about $600 which I readily paid.

As for CCP shoes, I got a thin rubber sole put on my pair. In the end, I don't think I could have handled seeing the leather on the bottom get scuffed and scraped up. Jo-Jo and Marco at A both highly recommended getting that done. Same goes for Carpe shoes.

I've got a couple of Carpe pieces that I'm looking to part with. An off-white long sleeved paneled tee (sz. 5 I believe... fits like a DH Large) and a freeform gray hat (brand new from Maxfield's). Let me know if anyone is interested!
