Number (N)ine comes close with the attention to detailing but the prints are often distracting. 1 YYPH blank t-shirt is worth 10 Giorgio Armanis.
hopefully his contribution in Muji Labo suggests something like that...

yeah, but a Muji tee isn't even remotely close to the level of a YY tee. Pretty sure for the 6K yen or so that one of the latter costs, it will outwear and outlast whatever equivalent that can buy in Mujis...

i think 6k yen is actually a really good price for an awesome plain tee that lasts.

I dunno about Yohji tees but in my experience designers tees don't last as long as cheapo ones becuase of the usually more delicate (though more luxurious) fabric. Cost rarely = longevity...

yep, agree with that casem. However a Yohji tee is as thick as a kevlar vest (im only referring to the blank standard cotton tees in V or crewneck, not the treated/dyed 'non-standard' t-shirts which may sometimes come in a more delicate composition).

I have been pleasantly surprised with the level of quality of the muji labo stuff. The cuts are more standard muji than yamamoto, but there is some good stuff to be had. I think muji's clothes (at least in Japan, not so much in the US) have really been stepping up their game.
