I havent bought anything in awhile but hopefully that will change after a trip to Paris later this week... anyways, here is the number (n)ine jacket i said i would post a while back... i liked it because it was more subtle than the other jackets this season, but it still has theembroidery detail on the sleeve, the leather strip on the back and the infamous clovers... it's a great cut too...

I think xcoldricex has that same jacket.

    Nice jacket!

Continuing on my Chalayan rampage, I got these little slippers, in beige. Won't be able to wear them until spring, of course.

nah mine's from an older season. has velvet and cobweb buttons, not embroidery. this one is a bit classier (minus the clovers), good buy.

    nice shoes! :)

Was it dark then? I know someone from SF has that jacket. I've seen it up close at Isetan, details are great but I was a bit unwelmed by the quality of the wool. I don't remember if it has pick stitching or is floating canvassed.

you're right, dark has the same blazer. i'd like it better without the clover details.

Cute shoes, laika. What are you going to wear them with?
Nothing a pair of sewing scissors can't fix. :P It's still a very nice blazer. Good on you, coldrice and Monty.

Lucky laika! I wanted to get those last season, but they didn't fit me right :( Very adorable - I love the colour.

Might as well post my latest conquest here as well - this H Chalayan dress, in black:

Very pretty, droogist! I have a feeling you posted this picture before - was this dress on your wishlist?

Thanks Faust--I have a few Chalayan dresses that I am going to wear them with; and I think they will be really good with culottes and my pasha pants (as my boyfriend calls them).

Droogist--You know I love that dress!

I hope the shoes fit me--I haven't received them yet. That slip-on/backless style is always a little difficult, but these look like they would hold your feet very well. What was off about the fit for you?
It was indeed, but that particular wishlist was strictly mental...I think the pic got posted quite a bit on tFS (subsequently sparking a flurry of interest in the dress), so perhaps that's why it looks familiar.

laika - the shoes in my normal size were too wide for my feet. When I sought to rectify the problem by sizing down, a tiny sliver of my toe ended up hanging over the edge of the shoe - an exceedingly tiny sliver, but a sliver nonetheless. It was just not meant to be...

Wow, nice haul! I'd like to see more pictures. I am very envious of that Ann D. top - I would love to own it. If you ever come across another one of these, please let me know!

I've been putting a classically modern, rakish formalwear look together for the past month or so, and here is the final element. I especially like the subtle stripe and dot pattern:

Wow, me and Monty have similar taste. I haven't even worn this yet. The stitching on the pockets, to keep it close, is still there, still waiting for the right occassion or weather. Been raining non-stop.
