Albert, I have no clue which season they were from! I've never seen them before; They looked like the Spring 07 version but no U shape and the back pockets were not angled. Maxfield does have quite a bit of 'old' CCP items though (elephant boots, green lace up shoes, back zip boots, grey leather overlock jacket) so they could be from seasons ago. I paid very close attention to how they were made (that was another 5 minutes in the dressing room, haha) so I can hopefully make some similar!

While I liked the detail of side flap pocket, you would definitely need to size up so they weren't skinny in the thigh or else they will flare out. They only one of those left though, so couldn't try on more.

Thanks for the kind words on the boots. They are super comfy!

Interesting jeans... I wonder if they're just some lesser-issued pair from last season.

Cool that Maxfield's carries older CCP items. I've always wanted to try on those elephant boots, but a pair of the wrap-hook (not the hockeye) boots are something that I'd LOVE to have. Kicking myself for sleeping on 2 pairs on ebay about a year ago and a pair of fur lined zipups in beige about that time as well (all went for around $600-800).

I hear you on the "ear" flap jeans. I've tried on (and sold) a couple pairs of that style and I agree with you. Depending on the version and the cut of the overlock jeans with that design, they fit kind of odd. One is a reinterpreted version of long johns in jean format and the other is a slightly bootcut classic jean cut.

Again, great Guidi purchase. I'm trying to find a pair of the ones that angle back (so you get that sweet wrinkling at the front of the ankle when worn) with the back zip at a reasonable price. They're about $1k here in Berlin after everything is said and done.

casius - the ccp tag with the garment information usually tells you what season it's from - so you can check the next time you're in there ;)

I think Maxfield has those. They had a grand amount of Guidi as they said they and CDiem are thier best sellers in terms of footwear. Some of the Guidis (including the ones I bought) I had never even seen before. I'm guessing though, the price is going to be similar there, if not more.

Also asked about CCP's black oxfords for Spring and they didn't know when or if they are getting them in. Hopefully A will get some sometime soon. :)

i need to borrow a friend's digicam or something, i don't have a working camera. it is the same one on why-lip, http://www.why-lip.com/gustavolins_mens/07ss04/, except mine's f/w 06, not ss/07, so the leather piping on mine is on the inside, not as visible. i will post asap though, i really love the fit!
