Since it looks like I temporarily killed this thread, I'll post what I wore today to try to revive it. Probably not what most people here are most engaged in, but I'll post anyway.

Q, the jacket looks great, i actually have one of Helmut's denim jacket I used to wear a lot, but cant bring myself to selling because I screwed the sleeves up by altering the Cuffs to my liking

The backpack has been my constant companion for the last year or so, and it does not look out of place in real life, but perhaps I should wash it.

I really like that Merz, but I usually like your contributions to this thread and elsewhere.

Ha. It's like Rashomon in Chicago. Merzie-boy is forgetting the part where I pulled it out of my closet and asked him to try it on as we were in full-stride, walking out the door this morning.

After quite a bit of demurring and mumbling along the lines of "if it were his, he'd dye it black...then maybe he'd like it," and "nooo, it's not ninja!" he relented and agreed to try it on. Per usual -- damn him -- it looks much better on him than it does me.

Back story: I had two HL denim jackets. I picked up the one that *had* gone into production on Greene St in '96. That one had two front patch pockets and contrast stitching on the double back seams that was like an itch that just wouldn't go away. I sold it untouched for $60 last year. IMO, they produced the wrong jacket. Blame Melanie Ward.
