i think gabriel looks good. as an outfit alone, i agree - because of the long straight silhouette - the plain black shirt and skinny jeans together look a bit flat. but i think he has the look (very andro/pretty?) to pull it off in general.

hmm honestly even if the shirt was lemonade yellow it would still probably look pretty plain. just because of the fabrics and silhouette. i don't think the lack of color is what's mainly contributing to the blandness...but as i mentioned i think it works on him cause he's a babe :)

i don't think snafu looks boring at all. the cropped pants and sandals show a little flesh and break things up a bit and theres a good mix of texture with the bag and jacket...no real need for any color there the design speaks for itself.
