I adore the length of this jacket and it fits you so well!

I can't seem to find anything that length that is never a bit to billowy for me. It's rather disappointing.

    Also first post, hi.
Fashion is so close in revealing a person's inner feelings and everybody seems to hate to lay claim to vanity so people tend to push it away.

      Gabriel that is actually fantastic.
I'd like to think it's because winter has approached us...

genevieveryoko - really like the soles of those shoes. An unexpected touch.

        Who?: solid. As always.

I'm pretty sure the above nod sissyp coat is not in fact this seasons raglan, but rather an older one, as evidenced by the fishtail thing.

Beyond that, I know nothing. It's definitely a very nice coat though

I just bought the poor man's version (poor being a relative term here) from Attachment 08AW, the stand-collar double melton. Certainly an option if you dig the general style, though it's obviously a completely different coat. An option for those that want a similar coat for 1/5 of the price

                  (not my pic)

That is correct. Pnod, I should throw up the real deal holyfield picture of you in that thing :-)

This thread is out of control, and is enough to motivate another WAYWT out of me SOON.

As of late it has become more evident how much a collective effort this thread is, and how it can snowball to greatness when everyone get's inspired by each other.

I'll apologize up front for some of the blurry shots below. I know I'll hear about it from some of you. I was given a new camera recently and have yet to master the damn thing. I've added detail shots so some of you will stop bitching.

Today's outfit is a Hussein Chalayan black wool blazer with inner harness strap, over an asymmetrical wool knit Cristian Luppi top.

The blazer's from the F/W 2008 collection. I only consider a blazer if it offers some point of interest. The flanged shoulder panel morphs into a genius strap that gets buttoned to the interior of the blazer on the opposite side. No outer fastenings keeps the look clean. The silhouette is strong, yet has a softness to it. This has grown to become one of my favorite pieces.

The Cristian Luppi top underneath is a heathered oatmeal/grey color, and is basically a long piece of textural wool knit fabric that's been folded over at the hemline to create a double layered effect. It's sleeveless, with 3 bizarre asymmetrical shoulder straps. Those 3 straps drove me bananas in the beginning, because it was nearly impossible to figure out the same 'hang' each time without an engineering degree. I gave up trying and now just settle for whatever I get...
