    Re: Sizing help

this is not a specific sizing question, but what do you guys do with measurements? for instance, various jackets that are cut differently have different measures; how do you tell what will fit if something has high arm holes, etc.thereforedistorting the measure.sorry if this does not make sense.

It makes sense. There is no general rule. People acquire their knowledge through experience, that's all. That's why forums are helpful - someone somewhere must have tried this or that on and knows how it fits.

        Re: Sizing help

I like around a 19 inch shoulder measurement because it fits almost just right, goes over my shoulders just a tad. the jacket i really want is 18 inches....my question....

how do YOU, meaning anyone who wants to answer, like to wear you blazers? how do you like the fit? I dont have a problem with the 18 inch shoulder i just want the arms to be longer and the length...its a peachoo krejberg blazer....

i guess im just having pre buying anxiety.

i hate buying things over the net if im unsure of the fit?

i guess im asking, would you rather buy too big or a tad too small?

          Re: Sizing help

Does anybody know about the sizing on this? Also, does anybody know anything more about the jacket? It appears to be some sort of mesh over the lapels, but the photos are shit.

Runs similar in size to the short 1-button jackets (i.e. slim!) from VOTC-onwards. Looks like it's a silk/wool jacquard fabric.

was hoping someone could help me with the dior homme vertical pouch bee polo sizing

or for that matter any dior homme polo from ss07

              do they run big?

a friend tried on a small and said it runs rather big around 50cm

but diabro chest measurements for their small polos is 45.5 - 46.5

              cheers~

Can anyone help me with Margiela sweater sizing. I believe they're labeled S, M, L, but how do they fit?

                  Re: Sizing help

/\ well, where are you located?

My best advice to you is if you are close to a store where his line is sold to go there and try them on.

I have a couple of his sweaters andd the fit varies...........

this doesnt mean he is inconsistent,

Some sweaters (as other upper body garments), are made to wear fitted while others are made to be worn loosely.

I have few peices (sweaters of his and they seem to be generously (loose) cut

I have to run........... will say more later

“You know,” he says, with a resilient smile, “it is a hard world for poets.”

They are generally pre-Hedi Slimane cut. I'm a 48, and I usually take a Small.

                      Re: Sizing help

Thanks. It sounds like the safest thing is to assume they're larger than average.

I wish there was a store nearby.

Oh, while I'm here, any advice on the fit of Jil Sander sweaters?

Jil sweaters are true to size in my experience.

So you think that someone who wears a size 50 shirt should go for a size 50 sweater? I have never really been a sweater person, believe it or not. At least not since I started buying designer.

What size would be a good fit if I am 41 in Ann D boots, 40.5 in DH sneakers.

                                Welcome to the forums.

From what I know they run true to size, you'd probably need a 41. Which Ann D. boots do you have? They used to run one size larger, I think they run true to size these days.
