The new Depeche Mode. A major disappointment. :(

Ughhhh, I know, but I can't hate it all. I think Scum is one of the best tracks they have written in recent years. Lyrically, the entire affair is unfortunately 6th grade junior-emo level, can't discuss that away. Shame considering what they used to be capable of.

My personal favorite is So Much Love. The lyrics are beyond horrible - a bunch of sanctimonious platitudes strung together, banal to the point of me mouthing the lyrics in several places before Gahan did.

By the way, I bought a turntable on my last day in London. Down the new rabbit hole I go.
