My goto jacket is a piece of PH heaven: dark navy blue in waxed cotton crispness. So very nice.

Mortal! You have to declare the material: elk/antelope!

Interest1 - they are perfect - the silhouette is timeless. What season are they from?

These look great. What do you typically pair them with? I know one of the sentiments voiced in this thread is the difficulty in matching harnden's peasantish take on arte povera with many of the designers (Rick, Ann D, CCP, Julius) loved on this forum (that also to a degree rank among your favorites judging by WAYWT entries...sans carol & julius of course), so I'd be interested (the unintended puns are almost inevitable given your choice of handle) to hear your take on that.

merz, i believe we had this conversation via PM a while back. i showed you mine & you showed me yours...ahem..

My Edwardian boots, circa 1910, purchased for 60 bucks. 20 years ago:

The PH's were 25x more: $1500. Not the same style, but you get the point..

                            The boots look great interest.
I like how the toe is round, yet somewhat pointy and a little bit wonky.
They also look hand-made. which is always great. I think they need a little restoration work done. the leather is starting to crack.
Get some high quality shoe cream(pigment based- in your case black).
it could be oil based but the really good stuff has some fatty properties to it. really helps revive/soften/moisturize old leather.

Interest, those are incredible. You know something's legit when it lasts a century and still looks great.
How do you guys like the fit of my new CCP suit?

                                Pete Townshend

                                Hi Everyone,
This is my 1st Post, I came accross the site as I purchased a pair of PH boots a few years ago which belonged to Pete Townshend of The Who! I bought them as they were donated by him to a Landmine Charity and the interest for me was the Who connection, only later did I realise the boots were such a great quality and name!!! Any ideas how much the boots retail at usually?
