mihihihi, just bough lot's of new (amazing) furniture at IKEA. Love their furniture but as you said, a trip there is what hell probably feels like, just with better decor. </P>

i like the ikea furniture.. you can easily mix it with great (designer)-pieces and get an individual look.. but i hate the ikea itself.. so i still buy at a local designer-furniture-shop which is.. ok. But not that great. Most things are a bit too old to be great and a bit too expensive to be a bargain, mmmh.

The rest of the bedroom is blond wood and metal. I don't think the black one will mix well with the rest of the room. I think that the white one would be the best one but i don't like the piece where the lamp has to be fixed (too big) or maybe it is the pic.

I have the artemide pendant there, and it's like a see-thru "color", so it works well. i was thinking to move that to the kitchen (all white/blonde wood), and put the black/gold for contrast. i think the inside gold would've worked very well with blonde wood/metal. anyway, i did not buy it as i don't need it. as far hanging lamp, you can always adjust the height.</p>
