those ann demeulemeester triple ties are perhaps the best boots to hit soil...they are to be cherished. i think for halloween i'll wear them as part of my captain jack sparrow trappings.

those yy boots are on yoox in UK7, pricey though.

I asked Ann about that and she said that she always hated the concept that women are supposed to have these tineey tiney feet. "Are we modern or are we old fashioned?" she asked. I conceded that are totally modern. Should've put that in the article.

I don't know if I'd be able to speak for most women, but judging by how her footwear has been flying off the shelves it seems she's doing something right.

The only version of those triple lace boots I really like is these, and I really, really like them....wish i had bought them when i had the chance.

The problem with the wide foot beds is that most women don't have feet that big. Its ok on my boots but I cant wear any of her sandals because my feet just won't stay in them. I don't mind it on an aesthetic level, but practically it makes no sense.

It does if you are a woman with wide feet. Mine are not insanely thick or anything, but most shoes I really have a hard time breaking in because they are way too narrow (especially italian shoes for some reason), and once I do they kind of lose their shape. So I can definately see the appeal of the width

It may be a specifically belgian trait though, I don't know...
