    those coats are object dyed.

i am sure those who wore their brand new derbies will see their socks getting some the dye too.

    i find them oddly fascinating.

That first pair on the pic looks like it has the same drop crotch as the chainseam version, no?

now i just wear the 'rain'coat with black and take it off when it starts raining (the irony of which does not fail to amuse me every time - which is often in england).

all in the joy of wearing ccp.

I can't wait for next years dissolving collection.

          hey bestial,

i have the 09 parka. and while its noisy it isn't the same noise / material as the parachute lining in the ss'08 kangaroo parka. the 09 parka is constructed using the material from the white id tags found in every ccp garment. the parachute material is different; it's noisier, more crinkly and doesn't breathe at all. btw, the 09 parka fits true to carol sizing in the shoulders / armholes but it's very roomy in the body.

If only the CCP fans could post in the WAYWT...

Looks like the CCP addiction is a solitary pleasure.
Did anybody already theorized that ?

don't think so, but I have the same feeling, shoes being the antithesis.

I've got a lead on the straight parka which also have openings for your legs, why anyone wants that beats me, but you don't have to use them. although it differs in price compared to the asymmetric one, don't know why.

that's a good representation of the way I feel when I'm trying to convince myself to wear some of the more uncomfortable pieces outside of my home.... Put them on...ogle them...realize how painful it will be wearing more than a few minutes but knowing I could never part with them...back to the closet they go.

On another note, does anyone have any leads on the leather jacket Brad Pitt was wearing a few pages back? Looked around a bit online but no luck.

Could always spray it with crystal clear and then dullcoat it.

It looks to be the high collar gloved version. I believe Lucas (Time & Space on SZ) has that jacket in a 56 and that Atelier carries (carried) it; You can ask him.

Darklands might have some size left.

The leather on the high collar gloved jacket I tried on at Atelier seemed like it was a much thinner less shiny leather. I could be mistaken, even the color - I don't remember the one at A being solid black.

hmm. the parka pants, more material are used, i guess. i was told there was also leather version of it, dont think any stores ordered it... maybe because of wearability, and i suspect, it's the most expensive item in ccp 09.

maxfields had that jacket in a white/gray color in 52, I am sure they can get it. $8500!!! They may still have it, way to big for you I am sure, but they had it. Thin leather, amazing jacket-- I liked it better then my current gloved leather jacket.
