Weren't it the reversed pockets of the second jacket, I would have guessed these pieces emanated from 80's Japan. The model's make-up and haircut (and labial expression) would have done this provenience justice.

Yes, Sara Lanzi would perhaps have been a better guess than mine. Lanzi's role in Carpe diem isn't clear to me. Wasn't she attending Linea until Amadei took over in 1999?

Pretty many said that. But I know Altieri never loosened control of any part of his brand.

I do not think Linea predates 2001.

But who really knows whatever happened in Perugia? I trust you.

Altieri has always been in "control". His concepts are the foundation and building blocks for all Continues projects. Amadei's role was one of great importance. For instance, Sartoria and the concept behind the project of atelier X18 cold not have happened without Amadei, in my estimation. Though without Altieri, it would be entirely non-existent. Anyways, Altieri very much liked Amadei's use of hands and rightfully so as Amadei is a true master artisan. Thus, Amadei was the Perugia parallel to Paris. He also helped manifest concepts as did Marvie. I don't know if many are aware of the level of consideration that was put into this project in every way. An entire year of class could be devoted to the research and findings. Certainly too difficult to tackle in a forum dialogue.

From what I've heard from different sources is that Sara Lanzi, and then I guess either later or at the same time Marvie mainly worked on Linea. Of course Altieri controlled everything, but I always thought Amadei was basically just a guy who cut leather and had a couple of good ideas (wallets, bags) but most everything else was derived from Altieri's ideas.
