Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

MO851 I discovered the label in a bag shop somewhere in Marais neighborhood, France. Little did I know they have 2 stores in NYC after checking the website. The site doesn't have much photos of the Men's bags, only women's, especially the ones I saw but I liked it's minimal design and the lightweight leather. I will try to investigate and make a visit to the store in Soho.
personally like these bags http://actontreadway.com/, very similar to harold's gear out in japan....i saw this Henry Cuir bag (http://www.henrycuir.jp/en/collection/bag/BG378)at Barneys and it won me over as well...

I stopped in one of their stores today. The designs are very simple, but nice and the leather is good quality, soft, light, and very thin. On the downside however, for me at least, was that they felt a little flimsy. I am sure the quality is really solid, but I would always be subconciously worried about inadvertantly destroying it. Still, overall, the bags were nice and the staff was helpful.
Oh, and I looked at some of the smaller messenger bags (just barely big enough for a sheet of paper) and the price was 310 CDN.
funny, i was just at the M0851 store on the Upper East Side over here. I was wondering about the flimsy part too, although the staff assured me that theleather isextremely strong. I am not a bag person at all, but I am very tempted to get one, as the prices are quite good, and the styles are great.I really need something like this for hauling books around. I like how anonymous they are...
...I mean the ephemeral, the fugitive, the contingent, the half of art whose other half is the eternal and the immutable.

Yeah, I like how light the bag is, but the byproduct of that is that is there is a certain flimsy feel, especially with how thin the leather is (also, the one I tried had just a flap covering a zipper so the flap didn't have a closure of its own and that may have contributed to the flimsy feeling) and if I am spending the money, not that expensive but then again not that cheap to me at least, I want it to feel solid.
I own this Julius bostonian bag. Got it half off last spring...
Djrajio I love that Julius bag. Has anyone here heard of Ally Capellino? She's a British designer who's been around for donkey's years but has recently had a bit of a revival as a bag designer. Her thing is all about interpreting traditional English fabrics and designs, a bit like Margaret Howell, with whom she shares a love for the 40s and 50s. I've had this "Ross" satchel in a lighter-coloured canvas for a couple of years and I still love it.
