I think the top one is leather + whatever fabric they used for the print. As for the bottom, fake leather I believe ... they're selling it in real leather as well, but that one is about 47000jpy. :(

Oh, that explains why it was so cheap. It looked kinda bad at first glance...
well... I'm not a big fan of faux leather so I think I'll look for something else, 47000JPY + fees / shipping etc would be a little too much for me.

Does anyone know of any rather cheap canvas shoulder/messengerbags (preferably black ones!) which could fit a couple of books and a macbook? (13.3")
I'd like to be around the 300$-limit...

Yea, they launched the "student line" fairly recently, inferior materials, but lower prices. I don't mind. I like canvas bags.

Any idea where to get the student messenger in the US? Shipping from the UK store is $80, which stings for a $200 bag.

When it comes to mens bags, I love my F bag.
I usually despise the usual Friis-bags, they are on "everybodys shoulders", and is in 99% of the circumstances fake. Bleugh! But the F by Friis (the mens offshot)-bags are actually nice. I don't have any pictures of mine (tried searching but found nothing, I'll try and get a picture taken) but I love it.
